So these past six months have been a complete whirlwind and because of that, the amount of gaming I’ve been able to do is just depressing –
But now that things have finally calmed down, you can bet the first thing I did was go and buy a bunch of games I’ve been dying to play! Some of these are a couple years old, but only recently released on the Switch and since I haven’t had much time to properly enjoy mine, I decided to grab a bunch of titles I’ve been meaning to get my hands on!
It’s crazy how fast you can tear through a game (or book!) when it’s really got it’s hooks in you..I’ve been kinda missing that feeling :p Anyways, I thought I’d share some of the ones I’ve been enjoying these past couple weeks – here they are!

5 Games I’m Currently Binging!
Gris is a gorgeous hand-painted watercolor masterpiece. Following the story of a young girl overcoming pain, Gris takes you through this fantastical, strange world that blooms with color along your journey.
Gris had just the perfect blend of brain twisting puzzles, emotive piano scores and breathtaking cutscenes. You don’t have to be an experienced gamer to enjoy Gris – if you want to just kick back and take in some beautiful sights after a bleh day, check out Gris!
The World Next Door
The World Next Door blends a bunch of popular genres together (like adventure, Candy-Crush-esque gameplay and ) to make one really fun and unique game. You play as Jun, a rebellious and curious girl who accidentally gets stuck in a parallel universe with her new magical friends. Using her newfound magic skills and an ancient sword, Jun must reopen the portal and return to Earth before it’s too late.
The World Next Door was a total surprise to me – I picked it up without knowing a thing about it. While the art, characters and world were charming enough, the magic system was by far my favorite part! We all know how addicting the Candy Crush universe is, but mesh it with a fantasy/magic based game and I am so there for it!
Days Gone is an open-world action adventure about a biker named Deacon St.John trying to survive after a massive virus plagues the world and turns everyone into Freakers. Two years after society falls, Deacon is still reeling from the disappearance of his wife. As he searches for answers about what happened to her, Deacon must fight off hordes of the infected, marauders and a dangerous cult.
I have been dying to get my hands on this game for over a year. After all the waiting, it finally released and I’ve been playing it non-stop! Days Gone is another captivating post-apocalyptic but holds it’s own among other zombie-themed games. I love Deacon as a character and found myself just as obsessed with discovering what happened to his wife as he was.
The Walking Dead: The Final Season
For those of you who have never played The Walking Dead games, they’re a choice-based series following Clementine, a survivor in the Walking Dead universe. One really unique thing about these games is that you literally watch Clem grow up. The writing in these games is brilliant – they’ll make you cry, laugh, button-mash and in rare moments, even go ‘awww’….
Oh boy – what can I even say about this game! Okay, so I really loved season 1 but until Javi’s season came around, I didn’t care much for TWD…however…Clem’s final season has totally taken me over. I love the character interactions, the art-style overhaul and the fresher gameplay. Also…Clem and Louis forever! <3 I’m not going to lie, I grinned like crazy every time they were on screen together.
FFX is one of Final Fantasy’s most memorable adventures and one of my favorite childhood memories. FFX follows Yuna and her guardians as they journey across Spira in preparation to defeat an evil being called Sin.
Yuna and Tidus – whom I’ve shamelessly obsessed over on all of my game-related posts – are two of my favorite characters ever written into a game. They’re real and genuine, despite their fantastical upbringings. Not only is the game itself fun and ageless, but it really makes you feel as though you’re on the journey alongside them. Besides…who doesn’t love an epic forbidden romance?

And that wraps up all of the games I’ve been enjoying!
