Fantasy Land / Little Things.
(A 100 Word Story)
Our summer’s hard to shake, even though your voice has long since faded.
Thinking back, the day you taught me to long-board and we got lost on St.Laurent, I trusted you to catch me if I fell.
You cracked jokes on the way to my big interview, & told me I was beautiful for no reason at all.
The games were fun when we were playing in fantasy land. Pretending is amusing until you realize it‘s replaced truly caring.
It was the little things, you see, that meant so much to me. It was the little things that fooled me.
. . .
Thanks so much for giving this month’s 100 word story a read <3
If this is your first time reading one, then let me give a little context! All of my short stories are based off my YA manuscript, a story I’ve had on the back burner while I work on my SCIFI. Buuut, when the characters won’t leave me alone, these little 100 word stories are my favourite way to satiate them – I swear, they wouldn’t leave me alone all weekend!! So I knew a 100 word story was in order :p
What do you like to do when your characters talk to you? – besides write obviously. Let me know in the comments down below
Well thats it for me today! Hope you liked this short and sweet post. I’m gunna go and enjoy the rest of this super sunny weather we’ve been having 😍☀️
Have an awesome week everyone!
