January (A 100 Word Story)
I saw someone who reminded me of you today. He was with a girl in our usual seat, lulled to sleep by the bus. For the briefest of moments, I felt a tsunami of regret. Are you doing okay? I agonize over that unanswered text you sent all over again – did I make a mistake? But then I stop myself, knowing the truth of what’s really made me sad. Had I answered, the pointless fighting wouldn’t have stopped. We’d have stayed the same. Looking at him one last time, I know that could never be you and maybe that’s okay.

Hope you enjoyed another edition to my short story series. Based on my YA WIP, these short stories have been a really fun challenge for me! As always, thank you so much for reading <3
