The Sunshine Blogger Award (Pt.2)

Heyy everyone!

After a relaxing weekend it was nice to get back into the swing of things but I’m still so excited for labor day weekend so I can have a few extra days off to chill.

The other day, I was so happy to see I’d been tagged by Beth at The Books Are Everywhere to do The Sunshine Blogger Award. Go check her blog out which is not only gorgeously designed, but also packed with bookish posts and fun reviews! I couldn’t be happier to do this award since it’s all about spreading positivity and sunshine. This is the second time I’ve done the award but seeing how this time it was super book themed, I was even more excited. Any excuse to rant more about all the books I’ve been loving xD

So let’s get into it!

. . .

The Sunshine Blogger Award

What is the Sunshine Blogger Award?

The Sunshine Blogger Award is given to those who are creative, positive and inspiring, while spreading sunshine to the blogging community.

How does it work?

  • Thank the person(s) who nominated you in a blog post and link back to their blog
  • Answer the 11 questions sent by the person who nominated you
  • Nominate 11 new blogs to receive the award and write them 11 new questions
  • List the rules and display the Sunshine Blogger Award logo on your post and/or on your blog

Show us a book cover you love.

I have to say that my favorite book cover would be Wicked Lovely by Melissa Marr but I very recently did an entire post about my favorite book covers so go check that out here if you like looking at pretty book covers! :p

Which song do you relate to your favorite book?

It’s constantly changing since I love music but currently, I’m reading Voyager by Diana Gabaldon and I think that Shut Us Down by Freddie Dickson perfectly describes the vibe of that book! His entire album actually..Check out this rendition because it’s absolutely gorgeous!

What do you do when you’re in a reading slump?

I try and switch up what book I’ve been reading because something the problem is just that I’m not jiving with the book at that point.

What’s the longest book you’ve read so far this year?

Definitely Voyager by Diana Gabaldon – which is a bit over 1,000 pages!

Which popular book do you dislike?

I’ve never thoroughly hated a book…I wasn’t a MASSIVE fan of The Fault in Our Stars (don’t hate me!). I still enjoyed it and read it in the span of 2 days…The movie was pretty great too. I just don’t think I’m as hyped about John Green as much as a lot of people are.

What do you like to do other than reading?

Hmmm…I love writing, gaming and staying active (where it’s pop pilates or going for a run or playing some soccer)!

What’s your favorite season and why?

Hard question! I love summer the most mainly because I hate being too cold. I love bundling up and the coziness fall can bring…but when it’s so cold you feel your organs icing over despite your 3+ layers of shirts/sweaters/jacket…yeah no thanks xD

Name your perfect snack/drink for while you’re reading.

I don’t really have any because I find that eating while reading is really distracting. I sometimes have coffee while I read though.

You have a plane to catch – which book did you read in one setting?

Something by Abbi Glines probably! Her books are short and addicting so it would make the time go quickly. For instance, I read Bad For You in like…one sitting xD So seems about right. right for a plane ride.

Name a book you want to read before the end of the year.

Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Powell! I finally own it, I just need to get over my Outlander obsession so I actually have room to read something else lool.

Fall is approaching – what’s your favorite fall read?

Hmm…I’ve never really been someone to choose a book based on the seasons!

. . .

Well that’s the end of the tag for me! Here’s who I tagged next 😀

  1. It’s funny you’re talking about the hype surrounding John Green – I feel like it has died down a little bit, well…now it’s coming back with his new release soon, but otherwise I wasn’t hearing too much about him on the blogosphere before, which felt strange for me. I love his books and I’m a big fan of his, but I understand not everyone loves him 🙂 glad you enjoyed the book and movie overall, still 🙂
I’m with you on the cold weather – I’m all for sweaters and blankets, but….I’m not happy when I’m still freezing haha 🙂
    Great answers! 🙂
