Spring TBR // Haul

Hey, hows it going? Happy first day of spring!!

Today was nice and warm and we even saw the sun for most of the day. I was almost worried we’d get another snow storm today – how sad would that have been? But it looks like it’s finally starting to warm up and I’m so excited! Summer is hands down my favorite time of year. The closer it gets the happier I feel!

So I thought I’d celebrate by sharing my spring reading list and a haul of the books I’ve bought lately 🙂

~ Haul ~

When The Sea Is Rising Red‘ (Cat Hellisen), ‘Dragonfly In Amber‘ (Diana Gabaldon), ‘All Lined Up‘ (Cora Carmack), ‘Eve: The Awakening‘ (Jenna Moreci), ‘Black Ice‘ (Becca Fitzpatrick), ‘Obsidian‘ (Jennifer L Armentrout), ‘Everyday‘ (David Levithan), The Shannara Chronicles: The Elfstones of Shannara‘ (Terry Brooks)

These are some books that I’ve bought in the last couple months! Some of them are books that have been on my list to buy for quite a while like Becca Fitzpatricks ‘Black Ice’ and ‘Everyday’ by David Levithan, while others I picked up on a whim like ‘When The Sea Is Rising Red’ by Cat Hellisen. When I’m choosing new books to buy and read, I like a pile that’s diverse because who knows what I’ll be feeling when it’s time to move onto a new book? Maybe I’ll feel like reading a more comedic story or maybe a thriller. When you go on a book-buying binge are you an impulsive shopper or are you more focused?

~ TBR ~

Seeing how spring break just ended for me and I’ve still got about a month and a half left of college until graduation, it’s impossible to get to all of these right away but here’s my TBR for the spring 🙂

  • The Way Of Shadows by Brent Weeks (My boyfriend lent me this series a little while ago, wanting to share one of his favorite series with me and I thought it was finally time to tackle book 1 as soon as I’m done my current read, Outlander by Diana Gabaldon.)
  • Black Ice by Becca Fitzpatrick (I can literally talk about how much I love this woman’s writing forever, still can’t believe it took me this long to grab the book!)
  • All Lined Up by Cora Carmack (Short, sweet, hilarious and sometimes surprisingly serious, I love Cora’s characters and find myself relating to so many of them! Her stories are always a quick read that leaves an impression in my mind and a smile on my face.)
  • Obsidian by Jennifer L Armentrout (I loved the first series I read by her so I couldn’t wait to get my hands on a new series and fresh characters…though I already miss Layla and Roth!

What’s on your TBR this spring? Any books you’ve been meaning to buy and can’t wait to get your hands on? Leave your list below and send me a link to your TBR post – I’d love to check it out! Thanks for reading and don’t forget to give me a follow so you can get notifications when I’ve got new posts up! I post every Monday, Wednesday and now Fridays as well!

See ya next time!

  1. Cora’ s new book is on my TBR! I haven’t read anything else by her before. I honestly had never heard of her before joining the Street Team, but that blurb of Roar and that cover made me want to have it in my hands that instant! That one, Eve: The Awakening, I haven’t heard of…is it something to check out?

    1. Eve: The Awakening is a book published by this really awesome writer ok YouTube! Typically she makes advice videos for writers and shes so funny! So when she came out with her first book, I knew I had to support her 🙂 I havent read it yet but I know itll be a great read, Jenna knows what shes doing! Cora is awesome!! Her books Losing It, Faking It and Finding it have become some of my favourite reads!

  2. The book that stands out in your haul pic is that one that whispers my name. The one that I ignore. Dragonfly in Amber. I didn’t expect to enjoy Outlander, but I did. A lot. So aye, I guess it’s time to get in touch with my romantic side once again and head for the hills of Scotland.
